So I think its about time someone used this forum for what I'm sure it was meant for and file some manor of complaint. I have noticed that many (though not all) GMs are either AFK or doing absolutely nothing (most of the time). I believe the role of a GM is to be the eyes and ears of the creator and admin, however, most important of all their tasks is to act in his stead when he is not around. If a GM is a do-nothing GM then isn't it like not having a GM at all?

No one even gives a s**t about the GMs anymore. Atleast the abusive one is gone

Alright then bad example, but Gms should still do more than sit at spawn or wherever else and do nothing.

Ever think we have lives? Also a lot of the time people yell gm for stuff they can fix themselves.
It doesn't matter where we are on the map we can go to people in an instant logically since start is where a lot of people congregate the GM's would be smart to be there to be easily reached and to watch the area for any wrong doers.

You can but you don't. That's the problem I'm talking about. I'm not saying you don't have lives, what I'm saying is that when you are already on (and therefore already away from whatever life you have) you need to do your job, or you shouldn't have your title.

You fail sir.
GMs are ALWAYS watching to see you f**k it up so they can ban your ass. If GM are afk, it's because they are doing something in real life. These people do not have to help you, just be thankful they are on.

I don't mean to start a rift here. If you're AFK then you are AFK. My problem is that most GMS are AFK nonstop. When a GM is AFK they can't be doing their job and be looking for wrong doers or, as you so elegantly put it, watching me f**k up, unless of course they are faking it. A GMs job expands beyond banning, it's problem solving and peace keeping. It's helping people in need. If they don't like it then they shouldn't have gone for it in the first place. I may only be a newbie here But I am a oldbie on much larger forums and I've seen what it looks like when GMs are doing their job. I am logged in to CC right now, and I have only seen one instance of someone calling for a GM and I've been on for several hours. plenty of time to do whatever it is you want and still do your job.

I leave my AFK overlay up frequently even when I'm at the computer.
I can see you do everything without even moving an inch.

Well, hello again KirbyDude. I hope that this time you will be so kind as to not use Gm abilities to "win" an "argument". That having been said, I have no problem with doing that, so long as you are doing your job. Aside from muting me for really no good reason, I have no reason to think you are a bad GM, I think some people are thinking that I believe that all Gms are failing to do their job, this is not true, I am aware that there are gms that do work, and do what they signed up to do. I have a problem with the GMs that don't. I can see that this discussion is accomplishing nothing, despite my best efforts, so I propose that we all just stop wasting our time, and start working towards improving all our behaviors, for a more enjoyable time.

An icon game is extremely easy to manage. It does not require any skill or effort at all by the administrators to look over the game. Spam is really the only thing an icon game has to worry about but the game was (kind of) fixed so that people could not do so. Text spam is another worry but again, proper programming can prevent this. Administrators in this game are completely useless....really all they are good for is watching and seeing if people flame or not but other than that, due to the games nature of just being an icon game, they are not necessary to have around.

Todo: Eliminate all GMs and allow hosts to assign their own GMs.
Mark Spec's server as the official Chao Chatterz server and specially mark it (possibly with a custom source code) to prevent server competition.
