nicely done dean, realeaseing a sourcode that lacks icons and a map all we want is the codes that could help us make games Great job on keeping it from being ripped this is not sarcasm i really mean it, that is a great idea to keep some CC clones off byond  9/10 rateing on the idea Also.. In my opinion, "learning" from other source codes isn't really a good idea, since one can "learn" bad habits from the creator of the code that they "learned" from. After taking a look at the Chao Chatterz source code, I did find a lot of things that I'd think newbies shouldn't be learning about... including the dreaded usr in proc problem.

I know an awful lot about various programming languages, and not once have I found myself looking at a "beginner guide" to a language and found myself saying "Yeah, now I can make stuff!" Learning is a hands-on experience. You've got to see the real stuff in action for you to truly understand how it works. |

The source code released does not work. In the end, you guys don't need the source to create your own game...topic locked.

If anyone's still looking for this 14 years later, someone uploaded it to Github: github.com/byond-dev/Chao_ChatterzIcons and all. I'll be forking the repo (Github account is robocafaz) and making a few adjustments as well. |
